Brent is currently looking for an experienced Safeguarding Principal Officer to join their Quality Assurance Team within their Children's Social Services.

This exciting role, covering a 1-year maternity period, would involve the Management of their Safeguarding Team which includes 5 Child Protection Advisors. It is an essential role in their Quality Assurance service to make sure that the needs of the child are always paramount within the service, and the social work is up to the highest standards.

Located in West London it is easily accessible via multiple tube lines along with excellent bus links. As there is parking it is also easily accessed via the M4, M25 and M40.

What are the Social Work requirements?

  • 5 years post qualifying experience
  • Previous Senior Management experience
  • HCPC registration

  • Experience directly managing social workers dealing with CSE, Gang related issues, missing children and other adolescent team responsibilities.
  • Previous Service Management or Operational Management experience.
  • Proven track record chairing complex strategy meetings and Child Protection Confrences
