A Specialist Residential Children's Home are looking for a Support Worker to assist them in ensuring the home runs smoothly and the young people are supported.

This is an opportunity where you will be working with an established staff team who are dedicated and passionate. Their core focus is to develop positive relationships with the children and young people, ensuring to aid in developing positive outcomes and mental health and wellbeing.

Role/Responsibilities for you as the Support Worker:

  • Establishing relationships with young people
  • Encourage and support people who use the services to express their views and needs
  • Provide emotional support at times of distress
  • Keeping accurate records and providing written reports on young people for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings
  • Act as a role model at all times
  • Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the children/young people.
  • To work in accordance with the Children's Homes Regulations, other statutory guidance, and co-operate with any inspection process

Requirements for you as the Support Worker

  • Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce *or equivalent*
  • 6 months experience in a children's residential care setting
  • Strong understanding of young people and the issues and behaviours they struggle with
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and sleep ins

Location: Oxford
Salary: Up to £27,000 plus benefits
