Fantastic opportunity based in Somerset for an experienced children's home Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge and a rewarding career. Offering a salary up to £25,000 plus great benefits.

My client prides themselves on providing exceptional child-centred care to young people with emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD) who often display challenging behaviour.

They require a dedicated and professional individual to manage one of their services supporting young people in a residential setting. This organisation encourages independence within their homes, aiming to equip the individuals with transferable life skills to ensure a positive future.

The Deputy Manager's responsibilities include

  • Managing the provision of the service and ensuring a positive living experience for the children
  • Ensuring compliance with the requirements of Ofsted and other relevant governing bodies
  • Acting as the safeguarding lead for the home and the welfare of the children Providing a nurturing environment and promoting independence within the home
  • Assessing the needs of the children and young people and determining appropriate responses

Completing administration duties

  • The Deputy Manager must have
  • NVQ Level 4 in Children and Young People (or willing to progress towards)
  • Experience 2 years' minimum working within a child-care setting or with young people
  • Commitment to changing young people's lives

This role would suit existing Deputy Managers, or experienced Senior Support Workers/Team Leaders aspiring to leave a positive impact on children's lives by providing outstanding person-centred care.
