We have available an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Care Home Manager to join a specialist residential dementia care home. Based in Berkshire this role commands a salary of up to £45,000+ based on experience.


The successful Care Home Manager will be joining a private organisation who provide care and support to Older People within residential care homes and once appointed will manage a 40 bedded service, which was rated 'Good' from CQC on its last inspection.


To be successful in this role you will need a good balance of passion, empathy and natural ability to lead as you will be responsible for meeting the needs of the customers whilst also managing available resources.

Role/Responsibilities


As the Care Home Manager, you will be the focal point of the home establishing positive and friendly relationships with all the residents, their families and friends. You will naturally lead the service through CQC inspections, be responsible for all aspects of staff management, training your staff where needed ensuring that the health and wellbeing of the residents is met at all times within the legislative framework and the company's ethos.
Below is a list of some of the responsibilities to give you a general understanding of the Registered Manager position.

  • To deliver a quality service designed to meet the individual needs of all Service Users
  • To manage a team of staff ensuring they are all equipped with the necessary skills, training, experience and supervisions.
  • To ensure you all are working within the regulations of the Care Quality Commission and all associated legislations
  • Responsible for the delivery of the service which takes into account all of the day to day operational requirements, and also quality measurements and monitoring.
  • To be responsible for the day to day running of the service, taking into account the maintenance of the unit and equipment.


Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 *or equivalent*
  • NVQ Level 5 or willing to work towards
  • Strong experience in elderly care within a care home environment
  • Experience working in a residential home
  • Excellent staff supervision, managerial and communicational skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the CQC regulations
  • A passion for providing high quality care
