Charles Hunter Associates are currently seeking experienced Qualified Social Work professionals to join Medway Council's Children's Social Services. Applications from Qualified Social Workers and Senior Social Workers are welcome as the council has opportunities at both these levels.

Medway' Children' Services are delivered through small teams called Social Work Pods. The Pods provide high levels of supervision; managed caseloads and a collaborative approach with families. With 4 social workers to one Practice Manager the support is real and with access to training in Systemic Practice and the Strengthening Families Approach you will be equipped to help families to stay together.

Job Role

As an experienced Qualified Social Worker or Senior Social Worker, you will safeguard vulnerable children and support them to achieve their full potential, living within their family if safe to do so.

You will provide a high quality and effective professional casework service, taking responsibility for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision, dependent upon the complexities of these cases.

You must have:

  • HCPC registration
  • Clear, Enhanced DBS
  • Social Work Qualification
  • Minimum of 2 year' post qualifying experience
