Enfield Council is looking for a Leaving Care Social Worker to join their team. This Social Work role is Locum.

The ideal Social Worker will have good knowledge and experience in a Leaving Care Team environment and be able to make effective decisions concerning the futures of young people. The ability to work well with adolescents and young adults is a key skill to have in a Leaving Care role.

Your responsibilities as a Leaving Care Social Worker:

  • Work closely with adolescents looking to go into independent living, YMCA placements or further education
  • Ensure high quality pathway plans are put in place for all children and young adults leaving care
  • Promote and ensure that young people leaving care have the independent living skills they will need to succeed
  • Identify whether external help is needed long term

Requirements of you as a Leaving Care Social Worker:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid HCPC registration
  • Have competent knowledge and experience of Leaving Care
  • Be able to work well in a pressurised environment

Location: Enfield, London

Salary: £31.15 per hour
