As the Senior Practitioner, you will be a Children's/Young Person's Social Worker from a Leaving Care background.

This is a permanent and full-time position and you will be office-based with a view of starting in early 2019. This is a team of mixed professionals working to support Looked after Children, Care Leavers and Asylum Seekers. You will need to have the commitment and drive to be successful in this position with this organisation who aspire to be "Outstanding" rated by Ofsted across all services.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Senior Practitioner:

  • Quality Assurance
  • Staff training & development
  • Managing & supervising staff to enhance performance
  • Holding a small caseload
  • Developing and providing services which are culturally sensitive and empowering for all service users
  • Supporting the Service Manager

Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma)
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Significant experience of working within Looked after Children and or Care Leaver teams
  • Safeguarding experience
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to LAC, Asylum Seekers and Care Leavers

Location: Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £40,000
