Are you an experienced Support Worker and Housing Officer within Social Care seeking a new opportunity within the Oxfordshire area?

My client is seeking an experienced Support Worker to care for 6 individuals (Care Leavers) for an initial full time 3-month contract.

This is an office based role with travel to the service users homes therefore a driver with access to a car full time is essential to the application.

Office based

Shift patterns - Monday - Friday:

9.00-17.00 or 10.00-18.00

Pay:

£9.31 - £12 per per hour (subject to payment and shift type)

Requirements for you as the Housing Support Worker:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults including Challenging Behaviours, Substance Abuse and Care Leavers.
  • Enhanced DBS (on the update service)
  • Up-to-date mandatory training*
  • Clean Valid UK Driver essential (mileage paid)
  • Experience within a residential environment promoting independence
  • Excellent communication skills including reading and writing
  • Ability to learn, pick up tasks quickly and adapt
  • Considerate and flexible with working hours /days

Responsibilities for you as the Housing Support Worker:

  • Working from an office providing client support daily via phone
  • Regular/weekly visits to the individual properties providing Health and Safety Checks within the properties and reporting repairs
  • Supporting and coaching service users with daily needs
  • Consistently promoting independence to service users
  • Encouraging and supporting service users with independent living skills
  • Working closely with service users, staff, families, and other relevant professionals
