Fostering and Adoption Social Worker - Berkshire/West London

A salary of up to £39,000 + terrific benefits

A Private Children's Trust require an experienced Social Worker to join their Fostering and Adoption team.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • High quality services to vulnerable children though assessments, care planning and delivery of other services.
  • All services are delivered in accordance with national standards
  • Providing an accountable statutory Social Work service to children, Young people/carers, to include assessments, case planning and review, appropriate to the work for the team and service unit.
  • Report Concerns, identify risks, respond to care plans and move children on in an accordance with their needs in agreement with the Practice Manager/Head of Service
  • Supporting the organisation in ensuring that the service is run in line with the Government Legislation, Regulations and Standards, together with the Inspecting Body


  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Significant experience of working with children and families
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding of the current legislations and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care, the Children's Act 1989 and its application to Social Work practice.
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle to travel to other areas.
