Children with Disabilities Social Worker - Berkshire/West London

A salary of up to £39,000 + terrific benefits

A Private Children's Trust require an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities team.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with disabilities service works with children and young people with Physical, Learning, Social Communication and Sensory needs.
  • You will be working with families to explore their own resources and access community resources to help to empower and promote independent.
  • Supporting the organisation in ensuring that the service is run in line with the Government Legislation, Regulations and Standards, together with the Inspecting Body
  • You will need to be creative in the way you approach direct work
  • Working with multi-professionals as well as be sensitive and supportive when approaching the challenges the family are presented with.


  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Significant experience of working with children and families
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding of the current legislations and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care, the Children's Act 1989 and its application to Social Work practice.
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle to travel to other areas.
