Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse who has the confidence and ability to make autonomous decisions and work collectively with the Multi-disciplinary team.

Our Opportunity is for a Clinical Lead Nurse, following the recent reopening of a Re-ablement service. We are seeking a highly experienced registered nurse with relevant experience to manage this unit and lead the team of nurses within it. The ideal person will have good knowledge of rehabilitation and or re-ablement within an elderly setting.

This is a 9am to 5pm, full time 39 hours per week opportunity, with some weekend work on occasion.

The Clinical Lead Nurse will work actively with Staff, residents, and their families, to promote the highest standards of care within person-centred care whilst observing CQC guidelines. The successful candidate will demonstrate a professional, caring, and compassionate approach with a strong work ethic and aptitude to building solid working relationships. The Clinical Lead will also :

  • Ensure that the NMC code of practice is upheld at all times
  • Demonstrate and monitor standards of high quality nursing and care practice
  • Carry out Risk Assessments and take part in GP rounds
  • Provide support, supervision, mentoring, and development of our Nurses, Health Care Assistants, and nursing placement students
  • Routinely act as duty senior for the service, ensuring that day-to-day tasks and routines are carried out to contribute to the smooth running of the service, and that the service is safe and secure
  • Participate and deliver in-house training programmes, operate as an in-house assessor and undertake specialist clinical skill training as required
  • Ensure that documentation is completed in accordance with NMC guidelines, the requirements of the regulatory authority and our policies and procedures.
