My client prides themselves on providing the highest standard of child-centred care to young people experiencing emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD) who often display challenging behaviour.

This organisation strongly encourages independence within their homes, aiming to equip the individuals with transferable life skills to ensure a positive future. They require passionate individuals to support the young people within their services in a small residential setting.

The Children's Home Worker's responsibilities include

  • Ensuring the smooth-running of the home on a day-to-day basis
  • Monitoring and reviewing the young person's care plans, behaviour management and education progress
  • Acting as a positive role model and guiding young people to reach their potential
  • Undertaking any other duties required by management

The Children's Home Worker must have

  • NVQ Level 3 Caring for Children and Young People/ Residential Child Care (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within a child-care setting (6 months minimum)
  • Flexibility to work varied shift-patterns including weekends, evenings and sleep-ins (1-2 per week)
  • A willingness to help those experiencing emotional trauma and behavioural issues
