One of our Social Work client has tasked me with finding a qualified and experienced Social Worker to fill an available Part Time position within their Surrey based Community Day Care Centre.

This Surrey based charity helps to support over 300 members of the local community. The support provided to the local community can range from: food, medication, finances to pet care. The Team is made of both paid and voluntary staff members.

Due to the COVID-19 lock down, there have been an increased number of issues surrounding loneliness, dementia care, alcoholism and domestic violence. My client is looking for a Qualified Social Worker who can help deal with these issues; while working alongside the local authority, police and other community resources, ensuring all actions are in line with current social care legislation.

Our client will need a Social Worker who has great practical experience and a clear understanding of current legislation; especially Adult Safeguarding. This part time position is an excellent opportunity for any Social Worker who is looking for flexible working hours!

Responsibilities of the Social Worker:

  • Be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Assessments under the Care Act 2014.
  • Mental Capacity Assessments.
  • Carry a caseload of vulnerable service users.
  • Putting into place care packages and support plans.
  • Facilitate service user choice and empowerment.
  • Attended emergency Client visits when required.
  • Direct and guide others within the team.

You must have:

  • Social Work England registration.
  • A clear enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • At least 2-year post qualifying experience.
  • A Drivers Licence.
