Support Worker required to work on a 1:1 / 2:1 basis with a young adult in a semi-independent living service near Woking, Surrey. This is a great opportunity to Support a Young Adult with Autism and Learning Disabilities. The work will involve a lot of community working and supporting the young person to enjoy his free time and undertake his favourite activities.

Shifts: A variety of shifts from Monday - Sunday, from 4-6 hours per session.

Example shifts -

17:00-22:00

09:00-13:00

09:00-14:00

13:00-18:00

14:30-20:30

Duties:

  • Supporting the client on a day to day basis
  • Following the client's care plan
  • Always ensure the promotion of independence
  • Taking the client out into the community
  • Taking the client to activities

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with Young Adults with Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviour, ADHD and Autism
  • Experience of taking clients out into the community and ensuring the welfare and safety of the client
  • Experience working on a 2:1 basis
  • Experience following care plans
  • Good verbal and Written English

Rate of Pay:

£9.00 per hour - £11.00 per hour depending on payment method.
