My client is looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to join a specialist residential dementia care home, based in Reading.

The successful Care Assistant will be joining a private organisation that provides care and support to Older People within residential care homes and once appointed will provide daily care within a 40 bedded service, which was rated 'Good' from CQC on its last inspection.

The role is full-time, and they offer an extensive list of benefits, along with their competitive hourly rate of up to £9 per hour.

Your responsibilities as Care Assistant:

  • Deliver a high standard of care, including personal care
  • Assisting in daily activities, including shopping and making life choices
  • Encourage and support people who use the services to express their views and needs
  • Always promote the views and needs of the service user
  • Complete and maintain up to date records
  • Support and encourage life skills and the independence of the service users


Requirements of you as Care Assistant:

  • NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
  • 6 months experience working in a similar setting
  • A compassionate approach to people with dementia
