A large Local Authority is looking for an Assistant Team Manager to join their Learning Disability and Autism Team based within Surrey. As the Assistant Team Manager, you will have the opportunity to assist with leading, motivating and managing a team ensuring the service provided is consistent, effective and delivers positive outcomes. This role is a full-time, and permanent position.

Ideally, you will have experience of leadership and management with a background within a Learning Disabilities and Autism teams. This Local Authority are commented to the internal training and development and are always looking for internally for promotions.

Your responsibilities as the Assistant Team Manager:

  • Deputise for the team manager when required, providing day to day management
  • Assist with leading, motivating and managing
  • Support and encourage professional decision-making
  • Provide professional support, advice and/or supervision

Requirements of you as the Assistant Team Manager:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid registration with Social Work England
  • Leadership and Management experience
  • Significant experience of working within Adult Services
  • Experience of working within Learning Disabilities and Autism
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Location: Surrey

Salary: up to £52,000
