A well-thought of "Outstanding" Ofsted rated Independent Fostering Agency, with a family-feel working environment is looking for an Assistant Team Manager in the South West Area. This a full-time, home-based and permanent position.

The ideal Assistant Team Manager will need to have child protection and fostering experience. You will need to be committed and have the drive to match this Independent Fostering Agencies ambitions.

Your responsibilities as the Assistant Team Manager:

  • The recruitment and assessment of prospective foster carers; this will include presenting completed Form F assessments to our foster panel
  • The support and supervision for our approved foster carers
  • Providing support for all members of our fostering households
  • Carrying out household reviews of our approved foster carers and presenting the reports to our fostering panel
  • Facilitating foster carer support groups and training
  • Partaking in the out of hours 'on call' system

Requirements of you as Assistant Team Manager:

  • Substantial experience of working with children and young people, in a family placement context
  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • Experience of managing a team of professional staff.
  • A valid HCPC registration.
  • Experience of working within Fostering/Adoption.
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.

Location: South West

Salary: Up to £43,000
