One of my clinets in West Sussex is looking for an experenced and rivern Apprpved Mental Healht Practitioner to thier Mental Health tem on the South Coast. This Social Worker role will require someone who has excellent knowledge of the legal requirements associated with, the Mental Health Act, Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Care Programme Approach, Deprivation of Liberty, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Community Treatment Orders.

There are two shift patterns avalibe for this role:

Shift 1 - early - 7am - 3pm

Shift 2 - Late - 2p, - 10pm

In addition you would need to work X2 Sundays each month.

Responsibility of the Social Worker:

  • Implement safeguarding procedures in a community setting.
  • Recognise, report and investigate safeguarding issues.
  • Undertake adult assessments in accordance with the Care Act (2014)
  • Undertake adult support planning in accordance with the Care Act (2014)
  • Practice Under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983 (2007).
  • Work in partnership with the service users, carers and the wider MDT to coordinate appropriate care through CPA and care planning.
  • Develop care plans that reflect the needs of the service user and relevant patient care documentation.

You must have:

  • Social Work England Registration.
  • A clear, enhanced DBS background check.
  • At least three years of post-qualification experience.
  • Previous experience with Care Act Assessments and Mental Capacity Assessments are essential.
  • Previous experience within a Mental Health Role.
