Wirral Council is looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Advanced Practitioner dedicated to providing great care to people.

The council itself recently received the Most Improved Council Award and this would be an amazing opportunity to work for a council that values their staff and the level of their service. The council is looking for a dynamic individual to work within a busy locality team and provide supervision and case management support to social workers and care navigators. This Advance Practitioner role comes with a competitive pay rate of £26 p/h with room for negotiation based on experience.

The ideal candidate will oversee complex case work, safeguarding investigations and authorise support packages that suit the client's needs. As a key part of the team, they will be able to ensure that effective risk management, decision making and preventative work is undertaken to promote independence of individuals and carers whilst taking into account the need to safeguard people effectively. They will hold key responsibilities which include chairing child or adult operational meetings with a high level of complexity or risk. Requirements for this Advanced Practitioner role:

  • Minimum 2 years post qualification experience
  • HCPC Registered
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Social Work Qualification
