Charles Hunter Associates are currently working with a well-established Local Authority in Bedfordshire to appoint an Adult’s Safeguarding Manager. This is an exciting opportunity and a vital role within the Adult Social Care department where you will provide strategic leadership and performance management of adult safeguarding and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). You will you advise, support, progress and promote a Multi-Agency approach to adult safeguarding across all agencies as part of the work of the Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB) and its associated work streams. This role requires an Adults Safeguarding Team Manager with a passion for procedures.

Responsibilities of the Adult’s Safeguarding Manager:

  • Driving and improving performance.
  • Approving DoLS and various tasks and projects.
  • Producing key documentation.
  • Analyses of reports, policies, procedures and protocols for the LSAB
  • Representing the Council at Safeguarding Adult Reviews.
  • Ensuring effective action plans are developed and monitored on behalf of the LSAB.


As Adult’s Safeguarding Manager, you must be:

  • Be fully registered with the HCPC and fully qualified
  • Have experience in Deprivation of Liberties (DoLS) and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
  • Have previous Operations or Strategic team lead experience, managing.
  • Be a car driver and owner
  • Be prepared for travel


Location: Bedfordshire 
Salary: up to £50,000 - £60,000k + pension
