Charles Hunter Associates are currently assisting a highly reputable local authority to recruit for a permanent Adults Assistant Team Leader Professional to join their team in Surrey

This local authority is currently looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Adults Assistant Team Leader who can effectively manage. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding and commitment to the personalisation agenda and be able to demonstrate an applied knowledge of the Care Act as well as the Mental Capacity Act and the NHS Continuing Healthcare National Framework

The responsibilities of the Adults Assistant Team Leader will be:

  • You will be supporting the manager to deliver high-quality personalised adult social care,
  • supervision of both qualified and unqualified staff and addressing Safeguarding concerns, ensuring that they are followed through as appropriate.
  • You will be required to line manage both the Occupational Therapists and unqualified staff members within the team.
  • You will need to apply an extensive knowledge of Occupational Therapy practice, theory and legislation to enhance practice, procedures, and policies, promote innovation, and introduce new ways of working from recognised sites of excellence.
  • The role will include supervision of the Senior Occupational Therapists within the team. You will need to be able to provide advice and guidance to the Occupational Therapists regarding complex major adaptations, standard and specialist equipment provision and complex moving and handling risk assessments.
  • You must also be able to demonstrate an applied and effective knowledge of safeguarding procedures and be able to evidence this.

As Assistant Team Leader, you will:

  • Be fully registered with the HCPC and fully qualified
  • Have experience in Child Protection
  • Have previous Supervising role, managing at least two
  • Be a car driver and owner
  • Be prepared for travel
